Starting a Conversation

Starting a Conversation | Companion Activity supports skills for initiating conversations from the life skills video through interactive tasks. Students answer yes/no and WH-questions, sequence conversation starters, and retell the video visually. Problem-solving activities help identify appropriate topics and social cues. Language development includes categorization of conversation topics, compare/contrast of good and poor conversation starters, and utterance expansion with verbs and prepositions. These exercises foster communication skills and social confidence.
