Students describe emergency and contact-related pictures using “say it, see it, and describe it” prompts, generate narratives about situations where emergency contact information may be needed, and answer opinion-based questions to strengthen expressive language skills. The resource also includes inferencing and prediction tasks related to recognizing when help is needed, identifying appropriate people to contact, and making safe decisions, as well as multi-step verbal and written direction-following activities with modifiers to strengthen listening and reading comprehension.
