Being Independent

Being Independent | Companion Activity encourages self-help and independence skills shown in the life skills video through interactive exercises. Students answer yes/no and WH-questions, sequence independent tasks, and retell the video with visuals. Problem-solving scenarios focus on overcoming challenges to independence. Language activities include categorization of tasks, compare/contrast of dependent vs. independent behaviors, and utterance expansion with verbs and prepositions. These tasks promote confidence and self-reliance.
